A poetic, yet unflinching & at times wry, tale of loss and retrieval.
Emma Jarrett's story of navigating breast cancer speaks of the experience of being raised as a woman in our culture, and its many impacts on the self.
Sarah Guest, visual artist for Breastless, has created a virtual stage in front of a screen onto which her images are projected. This close-up experience of Emma speaking to camera while interacting with the imagery as it is cast beside, or even over, her body makes for an intimate and powerful show.
"The online performance of Breastless was stunning. I have sat through many online presentations, and this exceeded my expectations. This was a dynamic audio and visual experience. I was immersed in Emma’s compelling storytelling, with the beautiful time-lapse line drawings of artist Sarah Guest weaving through the narrative. I would recommend this as a cathartic and healing experience." C.K
